Help with bi- torrent software?

A mate sent me a link to this today and I don't understand it at all any one else use it?

I used to use Azureus... it was Ok, but I found eMule better.

The idea is you start the torrent client, then go to a site that lists various torrents for downloading, click a link and the client downloads the data.
