find a serious engine spares place who has a Karlschmidt piston catalogue.

There must be a gm 1.6 8valve engine produced somewhere that has about 8:1 compression.

8.0:! is afr too low you'd want abotu 8.8-8.5 depending how much boost you are gonna run, but 8.8:1 is ok for upto a bar. it's easier to just have some of the chamber cut away to increase the chamber volume and this will drop the CR and still retain a good squish area to prevent knock.
Based on what I vae wokred out you'd want to increase chamber volume abotu 9cc's, this assumes the std gasket thickness is 1.2mm, so if it's different let e know, but I havent measured the thickness of one.
