what will fit??? plz help!!!

i have a 1.0L nova spin and i want 2 stick a bigger lump in it, how much bigger can i go without having 2 mess around wit the engine bay??... rich :twisted:

1.4 sr engine out of a mk will fit just need to change coil over

depends on what you mean by "messing around" with the engine bay. If you mean yopu dont want to strengthen then a 1.6 will go in. You can go larger, but you should really do some strengthening first

Doesn't the 1.0 have slightly different engine mounts to the other engines?

it is true but i dunno how different, try have a look under the bonnet of a gsi or something

the mounts on the chassis of the car are the same so as long as you get the mounts that come with the 1.4 etc it will fit fine

ive heard this 2 but ive looked at 1.0 and 1.2 engine mount brackets and cant see any difference

im sure my 16v is mounted up with a 1.0 bracket
