HI
I'VE JUST BEEN OFFERED ?540 FROM THE 3RD PARTYS COMPANY AFTER SOME TW*T DROVE INTO THE REAR OF IT ,MAKING IT A CAT" D" WRITE OFF.
THE CAR IS A " NOV 1993 1.5TD SX WITH 208000 MILES ON THE CLOCK , 1 OWNER FROM NEW ( me) FVSH AND 11 MONTHS MOT. WITH NO MODS
DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO GET THE BEST PRICE FROM THE INSURANCE COMPANY?
IVE LOOKED ON THE AUTOTRADER BUT THERE JUST AINT ANY ABOUT TO COMPARE.

Tbh with that kinda interstellar mileage ?500-600 would be about right. To contest that, you'll need proof of cars to the same spec/age that have sold for that price, not ones that are up for sale - so autotrader isn't really much help there.

Get some independant quotes for repairs from bodyshops. When my 1991 1.2 got hit up the arse, the insurance company put up ?750 to repair it after we got a few quotes.
