All in all how much should i look at spending on a valver? I have a GTE. Where should i start and how much for each bit?

I work in a bodyshop so welding wont be a problem. And all i want is about 150bhp. Just and induction kit and exhaust.

if u buy stuff from shops like pvd kit etc inc engine prob almost a grand but if u hav common sence it can be cheaper!, theres a valver for sale in the free adds from a astra all running gear 84k 400quid

surely with a bit of cunning you can get near 150 out of a gte

Up yours X-( lmao, (jk mate :D , some of us have the forementioned 1.6 8v and they push out over the magic 150 with the uprated torque to match, that aint to boring when you whip far bigger cars and open the bonnet and put em to shame when they see a little 8v poking out muhahahaha)

id recomend a 1600 with twin 40s - u really wouldnt want/need anythin more than that

billy, a 1.6 8v with twin 40's is definatly not boring! I'm getting just under 160BHP at the fly wheel in mine. The insurance is cheaper than a valver, it's lighter than a valver and it sounds awesome :D

My mate had a 157bhp 1.6 8v But he binned it coz he couldn't keep up with my valver which had less bhp. Bhp aint everything you can't beat cc.

Billy, where you from? I am selling pretty much everything needed to build a 2.0 16v, I have the driveshafts,engine,box,loom,ecu, engine mounts etc. make me an offer for the lot I also have a stainless exhaust and a K&N57i and a courteney group n ecu.

2.0 16v on it's way soon!!! (again!!!!) :)

scrapping my own valver plans mate! I have had enough of all the hassle, I am going to buy one that is ready made!!!
