I recently bought a nova 1.2 merit for my first car im not intrested in styling but wana make it go faster. Also bear in mind im not a millionaire and am on a tight budget[/b]

There are some subtle mods you can do to improve performance but to be honest you wont see the faster side of 100bhp without an engine swap.

You could probably get up to about 1.4SR level

You won't even see 100bhp!! If you put a lot of money into a 1.3 you'd get just over 100bhp. To see 100bhp from a 1.2 would cost a fortune.

Tbh mate, if your on a tight budget you'll only really be talking about a k&n filter, full exaust system and 4 branch manifold and a cam. That could also cost you abit of money depending on where you source it from.

If i were you i'd put the money into getting it looking good and then when you've got 1 years ncb you could think about putting a bigger engine in. Than you'd have a fast'ish and good looking nova!

well 100bhp from a 1.2 isnt impossible and its relatively straight forward. and pretty much everything is transferrable. appart from the bottom end lol.
