buggered up wireing

just bought a kenwood cd player for my car, pulled out the old tape player and found the tape player was just slotted in and that all the wireing behind it was all messed up. is it just a case of finding the right wires and then fitting new connectors to them??

Basically you need 3 wires (i think from the car loom)

Permanent live for memory
Switched live
Earth

The you should get some better speaker wire than the ancient Nova stuff, and put them from the wires on the back off the plug direct to the speakers.

Wire colours should be

Permanent live -Yellow
Switched live - Red
Earth- Black

And obviously your arial.
