de-locked is not a problem

but de-handle is as if you crash emergency services need a mechanical way of gettin into the car so you can be in bother if you de-handle

however take it to a backstreet garage and say i took handles off because I was dragged out of my car before so its to protect me

the doesnt have to be a mechanical way of opening the door from the outside, any way will do, whether be it electrical (button and solenoid) or window down (stayed down i.e fuse removed from electric windows or window wound down and winder removed), both ways should get you through an MOT, although as Matt said, what if you are in an accident and are knocked out, and you need to get out, how does someone get in?
