ive decided im gonna build a turbo lump out of one of the spare engines ive got. problem is i dont know wether to use a spacer plate or custom pistons to lower the compression, im thinking the spacer plate is the better option because at least if i melt a piston i can buy another off the shelf

Actually I was thinking the same Burgo. I find it quite funny you own a fair few cars and work on them for a career and in your spare time, yet you cannot drive. :?

off topic, but if you like cars so much, i would have thought that you would like to drive them, as well as build/ work on them.

no its not the driving part that i like, its the creating something and making something better part of it. driving is boring anyway unless your driving on the edge, but then you get banned anyway so whats the point

just out of interest.

there are a set of T40 webber "Turbo carbs" on ebay.

i guess they have been modified to give a blow through turbo system, a la Renault 5 style.

but then again... he's probably getting something confused.
