Does it make much difference to put a car on a Limited Mileage policy???

With all my mods declared on my Nova (which is still in a garage!!), and when it returns, the insurance I have got quoted is ?1000 Fully Comp. Mileage of 3000 though.
(2L 16v, M3 mirrors, alloys, lowered,zorst, suicide doors etc)

(the only thing I didnt tell them was the Chip, K n'N, & the roof guttering had been taken off!)
I've told the the major things, so should I tell them these as well??

Also, as mentioned above, tell me if u have a limited mileage policy, and if its worth doing. ta

the chip and k&n are the main things you should say because they are preformance enhancing modifications

i am not sure what thy do about limited millage mine is 10 k a year and last year i done 35 k
i do 100 miles each day to work

but they did not check my millage so i dont know

i am on the save for a new motor

But does the 2litre 16v not say it all?
I've actually started ringing around early this year!!

My XR2 will have to be isured on a separate policy, TPF&T, around ?600.
Shall I keep it as a runaround, or sell it?
(cos modified cars always have problems dont they?!)

Sell it and get a really low spec but tidy car (ie anything) and then TPFT

oops, my connection to the server is going barmy!
I like the XR2, and I would spend the same amount of money on buying and insuring another car... see my point?
?600 insurance for the Fiesta
(get hardly nothing for it when selling it)
?400 on a runabout, and ?350 on insuring it ...its more expensive (or at least the same!)

Therefore options are:
1. Keep 2nd car (XR2)
2. Dont have a 2nd car, and drive Nova everywhere, but then buggered when its goes wrong or I go up North (dodgy places!)

(If aint Kev, It aint worth it!!!)

yes but the chip and filter are much easier to take off in the event of an accident than the roof is to put back

So I should tell them about the roof?
Suppose I might as well if I have told them about the doors being back to front!

I'll ask them about the chip & K n'N too...
oh, lets declare the lot!

ste - how do you get a nova with insurance that cheap?
do they give you extra discount for having owned almost every nova in the british isles?

The name is misleading - I am not wise, or wooden.
