there are cheaper ways to do it
16v mount kit from valvers.com or brians on mig is about ?40
22spline nova GTE/TD shafts with mk2 cav 1.6 inner cv's which allow u to fit the big block box while keeping the std outer hubs etc
throw the ARB away
valvers.com has a good guide and wiring diagrams
and an airfilter u can get anywhere
im also not aware of any changes to the engine in 1993 that would require an extra ?16

I paid:
Mate ?10 to make a mount and gearbox spacers (And it fits perfect)
?20 for gte shafts
?35 each for cav inner's.
?40 for an induction kit.
Total ?105
?500-?105 = ?395 saved
And as for anti roll bar mount they are a load of bollocks, just a block of allui with two holes drilled in it.
So ?500 is a rip off.
My whole engine conversion cost me under ?800 and for that I even got a complete astra gte!

do you have to put a bigger exauste in or will it be ok for a bit with the standard one? i read somewhere some one just put some kind of hose to match up the sizes of the valver manifold and there standard 2 inch (or what ever it is) exauste?

Astra gte downpipe is 2 1/4 inch, Nova GSi after market is usually 2inch. So some fettling is required. I have just used a piece of flexi pipe for now, til I get a custom stainless made.
I think ashley Nova Gsi systems are 2 1/4 inch bore. An astra gte manifold will mate with a nova, but the cav ones are longer.

so its ok to just match iup the two different size's of exauste for a while, will this make any difference in the performance? or the running of the car, after the engine is in do you have to get a m.o.t?
