Chav tw4ts got my car last Tuesday Dec 28 :( rang police they told me they wunt find it for days and that it would probs be burnt out (made me feel a bit beta, NOT). i got a phone call at 8:30 the day after saying that they had found it, just round the corner from the car park i used. i collected it on the tursday (?105 to get it from the poilce, recovery fee!!!) i expected the everything in the car to be gone, but not a lot had...they took my parcel shelf (hence the stealth shelf wanted in the parts section) my sub and amp and my college work :?+back up disks:(lost 12 weeks work:(but the fcukers dint take my CD's :? i thought they wud have had them as i got bout 50 in the car. the main thing they did do was scratch the fuk out of it :evil:

SCUM BAGS!!!

now got to pay ?400 for a full respray. it cost me ?50 for new door lock and ignition from scrappers, ?40 to have them fitted and ?105 to et back from police, total ?195!!! so the ?200 i got fro christmas (to get an alarm) went on getting it back and on the road. so now i got a lot of saving to do:(

TBH though, you shouldn't really be buying/installing stereo gear if you dont even have an alarm. You may as well be giving the pikeys the money

probably have scratched their names into it, chavs like to mark their territory like a dog.
really winds me up seeing things like this, we need to sort out the growing problem of the younger generations culture, they seem to think they are in da hood

Hope you catch whoever did it mate - they probably were stupid enough to scratch their own names into the car

then they say, "are you Mr Levy?" yeah why?? "we've found ur car"

then its, "erm.... what have they done to it?" u dont really want to know, but u cant help asking!

Seems very weird that all they did was take most of your college work, including backups, but not anything major out of the car? Make a note of those names; might crop up somewhere in future.

i had my car broken into a week before i planned to put a sub in there etc, but it was after i had been to a shop to do som research. anyway this bloke at work was talking to me about stereos and stuff prior to this.

they ripped out the shelf, wrote off the speakers in doing so as they calbe was well secured with a neutrix connector. and then proceded to nick my MD's but they took the time to peel off the labels lol. they didnt even try to take the head uint and the windows were all in tact. WELL dodgy!

really sorry to hear it mate, bloody ballbags eh. still, what can you do? police will probably be reluctant to do much, paperwork is SUCH hard work when they could just be dishing out easy tickets on the roads.

Just one of those things set out in life to test you mate. Get the alarm before the respray tho mate, dont get caught out again!!!

even a cheap ?30 alarm and a few carefully hidden kill switches would do the trick

what u gorra remember is these folk are thick as fuck, if the break in and an alarm goes of they are just gonna bolt and if they do manage to get the alarm off and the car wont start they arent gonna start hacking thru the wiring loom to find the immobiliser

a simple toggle switch over the coil and if its injection over the fuel pump

another one to do would be to have a switch connecting the horn contact to ground

that way if they get the ignition on the horn will start blasting

cost u about ?6 in parts and will make it much safer

I'm reasonably lucky where i live my dad and I have a small reputation with some of the local boys and they daren't touch our cars but they decided to scribble all over some guys van
we'd tried to catch them in the act (pretty much so we could kick the sh!t out of em) but sadly we were too late...... but there will be a next time! :twisted: :+:

Well ive not any trouble for a while now, probably due to the fact that last time someone broke into the nova i ran out side with gun walking up an down the street looking for them.

Now that i like!!!!

My dad had his car nicked when i was young we got it back xmas eve and on boxing day I caught someone breaking into it again! he ended up chasing him and dragging him back by his head!!

The police were called by a few residents of our road because they thought he was abducting this teenager, it was great!!!!

Another time some kid tried kickin in our front door while we in our house, my dad grabbed him and told him he cudn't hurt because of his age but his son (me!!!) could. He then told him a load of rubbish and shouted me down from my bedroom to hold on to this kid while he called the police, naturally the kid shat himself he thought i was gona rip hi head off!!! :lol:

wel the way it happened for me was, i had just been shopping up in Nottingham and i thought "i think i'll park in the new 'park-and-tram'" then wen i got back, it had gone :( the police have been pretty un-informative, all i herd from them was "we've found your car, here is the number of the garage you can collect it from, when we've fingerprinted it" thats all ive herd, i rang them to see if they had caught them and they told me that they cant tell me anything :?

Yeah i dont think that im going to forget their names in a hurry.lol. driving round, with their names all i can think of. but ive got their names down and i dont plan to forget.good idea tho.

Camebridge - yeah in a way it was like they knew me...all they took was college work (and speakers) and the fact that they took no CD's made it seen realy suspect. They had found them, my CD's, cuz they were all across the back seat. very strange :?

Aragon - like the ideas, will probs take some of them. my dad suggested a fule cut off valve, sumwhere discreate, will maybe use all tho.lol.be a bugger for me to get in, but they scum will struggle next time.
