Any ideas.....

i know your supposed to use a heat gun but I've been using one that heats to 400 farenheit and it took me at least 3/4 hour to remove about 4 inches square.

whats the paint work like underneath?
Is it the same vinyl as they use on door pillars? i'm guessing so.

get is all nice and warm (not mega hot as youll pull the paint off) and just be persistant with it.

or try boiling water.

not too bothered about pulling the paint off because its going for a respray but at the minute it seems to be flaking off in tiny little bits.

I've been using a scrapper but I thought it would peal off in fairly big pieces.

Its a nightmare to get off!
Took me a week to do the pillars!

Then I decided that I wanted it back! lmao.

did the heat gun have a small nozzle on it? because if not, then it won't get hot enough.
With age, the Vinyl will harden and become a lot of trouble.
Be patient and try swearing a lot. cans of beer will help too.

Try roughing up the vinyl a lil bit with some course sandpaper and then soak it in lighter fluid!

If you can find a way to get th lighter fluid to soak in it should come off relatively easy......(he says...)
