engine knock

my engine knocks when i rev it wot is it?? it does'nt do it when its on tick over, only when its revving is it something loose??? its a 1200 b plate nova cheers

Sounds like a terminal problem m8, not 100% sure but it could be your big end shells or something like that, i av a similar problem, apparently it will only get worse.

how bad is the knocking??

Never acutually heard it happening before but are you sure its not pinking? maybe ignition timing to far advance?

Alternator retaing bushes could be worn/nackered?
waterpump gone, but this is more of a really annoying ticking noise?
