right well i just put em on and the car is rideing very very very high 70 mm higher than they were originally.....so iv taken em of and asked for ma dolla back n evrythings sweet.......do i really need uprated shockers? will the mot fellas fail me?, the original nova shockers are in good nick, i spoke to a fella at link motorsport he says there probably off a corsa thats why there riding high, cos the springs on the fron shockers he sold me are PI 60-230 or summit and i checked it against a pi price and parts list and the springs are 60mm drop springs so i recon the guys tryd to f**k me over with corsa shockers also there not a brand name there just orange? with "compressed air do not puncture" written on are they just crappy corsa shockers or am i just a stupid f**k.......the guy i baut em off says its cos my car is a 1ltr n he says the shockers or off a gsi......i am so confused can any one tell me what the f**k is in my garage

m8 the front was riding high because the car needed to settle and it also would have taken longer to settle as you have not much more than a starter motor and a biscuit tin under the bonnet go get them back m8 there fine once the bigger engine goes in

Stop fuckin about, Go and buy a matched set of Gmax shocks and springs for a base model nova 1.0 if thats the case.

No point fannyin around with mix n match second hand stuff.

youd be surprised. the 1L engine is made of cast iron. therefore its fecking heavy.

anyway

70mm above std height?!?!?! did you get a set of landrover springs in that?

the shocks wont have anything to do with the rid height (unless they are far far too long, or short. but that wont be the case in a nova / corsa setup.

but yes a gmax kit for a gsi would be your "best" option as its new and cheap lol

i tryed letting them settle i drove it up and down the drive a few times and yea it went down a bit but in was far to high fr my liking the back looked like it was on the floor in comparison, the ones iv got now are sri shckers with g-mas 60mm drop springs im beggining to hate this car and the only two decent things i have/had was the sound system that got robbed and the 1.6 gsi engine in the garage but i cant afford the insurance, if i could get a quote or summit for june i would kno how much im gonna get screwd for and i could save ma dolla

but im determind to do summit wid the 1.6 ....i had to sell ma dads old 2.0 calibra engine coz i chikind out.....

if any 1 knows how much the insurance would be or where i could find out id be very greatfull

GMax are ok, but they wont last. what else do you expect for the price? i got Eibach's but they cost ?650. You need a matched spring/shock set. my 1400 was, in its previous life, a 1.0l. my set is for a GSI with 40mm drop and fits fine. in fact i got nearer 70mm drop from standard, i only got 34mm ground clearance at the exhaust.
