what is the diference between the fuel tank on a 1.2 carb nova and the fuel tank on a 1.4sri nova? is there any way you can make the fuel tank from the 1.2 carb nova work with the 1.4sri engine? i have a fuel pump from a gte is it possible to just fit this with the 1.2 carb tank?

Not 100% sure on this but i think the only difference is that the sri/gte/gsi/injection fuel tanks have a return pipe from the engine for unburnt fuel and the tanks on carb models don't. You could just block off the return hole in the tank. Why do you want to fit one?

I used to run a 1.6gte lump with a 1.2 carb tank.

The 1.2 carb does have a feed & a return pipe, and it would run quite well. The major problem came when the tank was 1/4 full and I chucked it into a right hand bend. The fuel would run to the left, and the pump would suck air, stopping the engine for a few seconds, and knackering the pump.

and also badly leaning out the engine if u keep the throttle open

so would i be ok to run this set up as a temp measure until i can get an injection tank? thanks

yes but dont run it below 1/4 if you going to fly around bends and sh*t.

no just get an injection tank.... is it an sri engine? how are you sorting the wiring?
