help me please!

My hazard lights kept goin on when i pressed the button on an off so i took it out and took it apart an took out the springs, but now wen i put it back in nothin happens, not even my indicators?

i think it may be the little metal bits inside the switch?

Yep, this happened the mine... the metal contacts bent inside. You can try bending them around slightly, or just go buy a new one

you've fcuked it then, best either go to vauxhall and get a new one 20-25 quid or a breakers yard, but everyone is after them coz they break so easily.

That sounds like it could be a problem with the wiring from the indicator stalk, or the indicator switch itself?

go and find a nova at a breakers.

Get these bits.

MK2 Hazard Switch
MK2 Ash tray (centre console thingy)
Fan switch + bulb
Glovebox

they're pretty much all the things that will break commonly IMO

mine works when you pull it out and THEN indicate either left or right

i dunno who invented that bloody switch but they need to be dragged into the street and shot.....

MK2 Ash tray (centre console thingy)
Glovebox

You'd have to use a fair bit of force to break the ash tray and glovebox wouldn't you?!?

Actually... get all those bits from a scrapyard anyway. You can then sell them on ebay for ???profit, as Mk2 dash bits are always in demand.

Matt, thats how much Vauxhall charge for a replacement switch. My dad went and bought one for me the other day when I could have got one off ebay for a fiver

these hazard switches are starting to get on my tats cos ive gone through 3 of them now!!! i repair them when they break but they keep breaking and i end up destroying them!!

it really confused me with the indicators :? , because 1 minute they were working and the next they werent... ive checked most things, AND i went and broke my ignition cylinder when i took it out to get a look at the switch itself! luckily i have another one

hazard switch from vauxhall does cost like 20 quid!
my mate worked out though which terminals you can use with actually using a hazard switch, ill find out for you. so in other words you dont need a switch just a small peice of wire and some connectors
