2 tech questions????

whats the best gearbox to use on a gte/gsi for acceleration? not too bothered about top end speed. i have a f13 fitted at the moment.

also. how much can you skim a gte head by? not too much so it pinks.

1. a F13 cr gearbox is the best one you can find in a nova for acceleration.

If you can find a 4.18 final drive differential then it will be even more high geared. If not then make sure its a 3.94 not a 3.74.

that'll ride at 100mph at around 5700-6100 rpm at a guess.

are all f13's close ratio. don't know what rpm is at 100mph. its less than 5000rpm.

most F13's are close ratio.

If their from a GSI or GTE or even sri i think, then they are most likely to be.

its from a 16 sv (cavalier, astra) i really don't think its cr. my old 1.4 sr was definately cr, it used to red line in 5th at 114mph. is there anyway of telling without stripping (numbers, codes etc)

your 1.4sr was an f10 though and i dont think the cavvy f13 are close ratio
