Was out in the garage all day rewireing bits and bobs, not finally everything works, except the horn, which i'll look at tomorrow!!

Next, i need a new strut brace, anyone any suggestions as to what would look best? I'm also concidering chroming the rocker cover, when i send other bits away to be done.

Get rid of the fuel pump from under the bonnet :o

Mount it somewhere near the tank underneath the car, You can get rid of all that excess fuel line around the drivers side bay top then. Also change the ends on the fuel line to blue ones, the same as Your hoses

i have heard that front strut braces and seam/stitch welded chassis dont go well together so u may want to look into that a bit more

Easier said than done! The inner wing would then need re-painted to cover the two holes drilled for it. Its functioning perfect where it is, so it will stay until i change the engine, if ever.

BigRuss has a point, those fuel pumps are a push type so will either not last long under the bonnet and or will have problems maintainting a constant pressure mounted there, other than that it looks really neat. bit dubious about the ammount of filler there is under there tho, looks a bit heavy

Steven (who build the engine) recomended i put the pump in the boot, but i was on a roll, rushed things and ended up putting it there. But i've seen a few rally car nova's with them mounted there. Rally design also said it should be fine.

Karl mentioned it might cook the fuel, as it happened to him. But all these points are noted, and if i encounter any problems i'll get rid, and get a bailey oil catch tank to cover the holes :D

There isnt much filler there mate, the shape was formed with metal, then fiberglass, then smoothed with filler. I noticed how little there actually was when drilling holes for the pump, coil etc.

What, does make sence, the two things do a completly different things, seamwelding is because with spotwelds only approx 65% will take and when stressed with a bigger engine, more driving loads it can cause more of the spot welds to sepporate. causing the car to fall apart!!!

A strut brace is to increase the instilation stiffness between the turrets (ie, stop then moving closser together under load, and moving apart for the same reason) if the turrets move then you will not retain the same suspension geomatory while moving, causing unexpected things to happen with the handling!!!

Dont Chrome the rocker cover as it will look odd as the engine isnt chromed, either leave it the same or have it anodised blue/red with other parts of the engine as they dont look so odd when everything dosent match.

I too would lose the sticker its hideous.

Proper Smart Keith!!! :D Well done! Not to sure about Chroming the rocker cover.... Could you get a spare one and do it to that, then you could always resort back to the original if you don't like it.

Any way, keep the pics rolling. .... before it gets dirty.
