Im planning on rebuilding one of the engines in the summer, just wondering if anyone has a rough idea of what im gonna need and how much it might cost.

I've thought of a few things:

Gasket kits
Pistons and rings
Seals
Valves
Hire of crane
Any tools i haven't got already

enigine is a 993cc from a mk2(not mine), its been in a crash aswell so i figure im gonna need to check alingments of some things?

The cost of rebuilding that engine would outweight the cost of buying a better one (anything but a 1L) and fitting that!
I sold my old 1.4 SR engine for ?100 including 'box
