I work in a specialist porsche bodyshop as a painter.. i got hold of a molested GSi.. i have stripped it down and put it pretty much standard.. apart from rear bumper, still based on GSi except has another exhaust cut out on opposite side to accomodate 2 twin pipes! Other than that it has Astra door handles smoothed in.. firstly should i keep the handles?? And secondly WHAT IS THE BEST/NICEST COLOUR TO SPRAY IT.. Money no object as i get most of it for nothing.. lol sorry guys.. All i have to do in spray it but i just cant decide on a colour.. first i thought a rage flip or something.. then i thought of a brilliant silver.. now im thinking silk violet. i may put astra GSi bonnet vents in.. oh and it has 16" TSW Rib wheels look quite aggresive. any thoughts much appreciated cuz i want my car back on the road!!!

why not have one of those cars that can change to like 30+ colors depending where you stand and the light.

that would be cool ;)

or there is always yellow, or a dark blue or maybe even pnik ;)

If its standard(ish) looking, I'd say go for a subtle colour; silver, blue etc. If its kitted, then go for a flip paint.

do it white then put a blue pearl in the laquer over it, should look great, if you do this also spray your alloys black 8)

knight is winning so far... the car will look very standard just very very clean and tidy!! so i think a more subtle colour is suited and not a flip.. they work well when u have lots of curves but a standard nova does not have these lines... so any more ideas are welcome.. cheers guys

Seeing as your saving money by spraying the car yourself..................

why not try and import some of that nice temperature changing paint, you know the stuff like them hotwheels toy cars were painted with.

so when its cold its a dark colour and as it heats up it changes to a lighter colour.

Would that work? Is the paint "tough" enough to do a car in?

Would cost a fair mint though I'd have thought...

id go for the silk violet
imo its the best nova colour

Matt unfortunately that temperature changing paint has very bad UV properties.. so basically it will fade badly like you see some reds!!

i think im gonna go with silk violet but and a little something so its unique.. any ideas??

I've seen some bikes painted in it, its a yankee thing so it might take a few years to come over here.
