Hi i have just been given a k&n filter which was great, but ive just been reading my max power nova manual and it states these can cause a problem in the cold when you first start it. Could anyone please tell me whether it is much of a problem and if yes how to sort it. Please e-mail me on

Thanks

Yeah, its known as carb icing when water vapour freezes inside the carb, it can sometimes make the car run crap, and stall.
Some people don't have any problems with theirs. But if you do then you can make a hot air kit, using air ducting from the exhaust manifold, or put you standard box on through the winter as that has a hot air duct built in.

yea i had this but i did as "long live the nova" said and put a pipe to the manifold, works well and car performs better
yeh same as that in the winter its hardly worth having a knn, on my sr it always used to pack up on the way to work (7 am) freezing cold !
