MOT time
my car just failed mot so am pished off
good points i was told its structurly sound so no welding reqired
it failed on
1 blue number plate light :oops:
2 cv boot cover has come loose (no probs to sort like the first)
3 metal fuel lines under the car have coroded and are leaking
4 too much travel in the footbrake
due to a brake pipe in the enginge rubbing and breaking
so i will not be able to attend the mk meet as on sunday i will be in clugstons workshop repairng my car
its too dangerous to risk me and especially jack driving all that way with dodgy brakes
so i am very sorry to all

like said am just a bit fed up at the mo but at least its nothing too major

aww sorry to hear that mate like u say at least its nothing too major!!!
one good thing is me dad has all the parts i need at clugstons so wont cost me anything

thats like 10mins work to sort out stop moaning you tart lol, i got 3 full pages and a nice pink sheet from the police. An mine still isnt fixed yet.

the battle ship is going in for her test on thursday lol. only "BIG" issue could be the exhaust but its been repaired ;) lol

get the brake lines made up so all you have to do is wack them on an you're good to go!
am at work friday and sunday is the only time i can get access with me dad :cry:

my MOT is up on Thrusday too...
I know the headlights are out of alignment though...think I'll get that done tomorrow after I've been to court

why do people insist on waiting till the MOT actually runs out before booking the test
u can do it upto a month before and still get your full new 12 months added on
To be fair, Barn could be referring to his test. I usually book mine well in advance of my expiry date as I always expect the car to fail lol (except for this year as the hatch was in the bodyshop :roll: ), although I swear the MOT station is in cohorts with the welding place round the corner....!

He had the chance to come over this afternoon, but I was lacking a brake pipe flaring tool lol

mine doesnt run out till end of january
its just not safe to drive
if i can get into clugstons workshop on saturday i will do
mines up end of the month

im dreadin putting ma nova for an mot. it should pass. my black one faild bigtime.
It failed on things like:
Severley corroded within 30 mm of strut tops
Exhaust leaking and badly fitted, which was a lie.
and silly things like window sticker petruding into zone a, which is another lie cos i was told it would pass.
There was also a huge list of small faults.
What a load of sh1t.
my black gte was the same rotton as fook
but the sri's body work is really good and its a well looked after\much loved car
thats the main reason why i hate it when somethings wrong
thats like the blue one ive got at the mo. its in good nik.
the battle ship failed on 2 front tyres (good excuse to get some eagle F1's at ?189 the pair)
and the high beam wasnt staying on when the switch was pushed forward. so ive srtipped it down and re assembeled it and its cool.
getting it looked over tomorrow nite :-) yay

Still, got home though (about 2 miles drive, with lights too) so hoping it isn't that bad
I know for sure mines gonna need a little welding on the rear inner arches for the MOT, ill get it done before though, other than that i can't think of anything that will go wrong....

You know it's quite funny my car passed the last two mot's with no problem with the exception of a damaged wiper blade!
(which provided I changed they'd pass me!)
Although my tin can still looks majorly poo compared with most on here!

straight pass...nothing wrong at all. How chuffed am I...? very. :) :lol:
mine was sorted yesterday and i made it too the meet just gotta get it re-tested tomorrow and jobs a good un
