Ive been told that the rear arches on a mk2 nova are 5mm wider than a mk 1? Anyone know if its true? I thought they are all the same.

yes this is supposedly true, i read it in the haynes max power book

the main issue is the rear beam tolerances are much better

the older cars could be 5-10mm out from left to right

mk2s are closer to 2-3mm out left to right

MK1's have much wider arch lips where the spot welds are. Think this is where they come up with the wider arch shit from. Rick
