how do you bed them in !?

also, when ordering the disks/pads what car do you qoute !?

i know my brakes are 2.0 16v, i think they are from an Astra GTE (that's what the guy said) but i suppose all of the cav GSi e.t.c brakes are the same ?

if so, what's the model ? and rotor size !

cheers i'm very lazy

tar-rox do good discs - green stuff are ok. ebc discs are average. Std vaux discs and pads are pretty good. I wouldnt think its too critical for road use. A lot depends on how you drive and how heavy your car is t b h. I know slowish drivers in non performance cars who rinse discs and pads cos they use them a lot and heavily. You know the sort of person i mean - razzes up to like 50 or 60 and no more but doesnt read the road or traffic ahead and is constantly braking heavily and un-necessarily late

driving along with the brake pedal depressed has to be the quickest way to warp the bloody disks especially if u stop imediately afterwards

getting them roasting with lots of heavy braking then driving 25miles with little brakeing to cool them down again would be more sensible

ya mad! very little light braking as poss for 150 miles or the material on the pad will not not go as hard as it should ull end up with fade on the pads and warp the disks.......... gimp

besides cant beat black diamond quality shit

ummm according the the EBC gumph they need 1000 miles bedding in before you hit them hard.

thats what i did in the omega and the only problems ive had is the brake fluid now boils lol.

MC suggests STD gm pads with grooved discs eg 88grove tar-ox's

or just get massive brakes to do more levering ;)

try changing the fluid 2 a full sythtick (MMM spelling) or higher dot
