cam up my turbo

hi i have a 1.6 gsi turbo in my nova and i was wondering if i could put a kent cam in to it cos i have a nv062 kent cam sitting in my gararge. someone told me i couldn't put a too high lift cam in cos it will pink all the time but wot do you think a 270 degree would do. cheers people

IIRC you need to run a different profiled cam in for a turbo. I think over lap is critical and that they dont generally run peaky cams. Best phone up Kent mate- they'll give you a much better idea?

yer u cant run lots of overlap on a turbo cos you'll just blow the incoming gas streight out the zorst valves

iirc most turbo cams are 250-260ish degree although i may be wrong
