Well after a hard afternoon and evening's work this is what I have ended up with. I started with a very tidy 1.0 Spin, J plate, 25,000 miles. The only rust I have found is on the front panel, I am in 2 minds whether to repair or replace, and a little bit of rust breaking through on the N/S/R arch.

cheers guys. The unit is cool, there are 6 of us that share it but it all costs money lol The plans will be reveiled slowly lol. The car WILL be finished by april, although it wont have its new engine in by then. I am hoping to have that in ready for PV (wont be run in then though!!) Epo, I will be in the other nova for the MK meet (if I get my finger out and finish it lol). I will keep you all updated, I have picked my new seats up today and going to start with work on the shell tomorrow, what I get done depends on what state I am in tonight.
Happy new year boys and girls

shell does look good.

so, if it's being welded !? it'l be taking delivery of a reasonably big engine then !?

all just presumtions !

Chris

The shell is being welded, to make her a whole lot stiffer as I plan to use it for many track days in the future, and it costs nothing so I thought I might as well do it.

UPDATE,
As of tonight, all the 'Tar' type sound deadening has been removed, the lower rear seat mounts have been removed and the panel that goes in front of teh gear stick has been removed. Glass is out, headlining is out, just got loom to remove before taking the rest of the rear seat mounts out, then welding the shell up and all the little holes where we have been drilling spot welds (I'm sure it would of been easier with a proper spot weld drill bit lol). Then paint the cage and that can be fitted and welded, then all the inside and engien bay to be painted, then the rebuild process starts lol
Pics will follow soon
