Help on speakers

Hey all ive connected up my amp sub and components but all i can hear is the sub, apart from that a little whining but thats it?

its only my sub making any noise, the the woofers in my components are moving but there is nothing from the tweeter?

are they running from one amp !?

if so you may have the amp set on a LPF (low pass filter) which only lets through bass notes.

It should be on this if your runing subs. If so, it wont be squirting out any treble to the components.

what amp are you runing it all off ?

make sure your Sub is recieving a signal that has a LPF on it, otherwise it'l be trying to play sounds that it's not meant to play = not good
