Bit o wiring help pls

Fitting central locking and alarm tomorow, checked the Haynes manual to help with the wiring and its sh*t, a load of teeny lines I couldn't understand. Can anyone help with the following:

1) What is the colour of wire from the ignition switch to the ignition coil?
2) What is the colour of the switched positive wire going to the radiator fan?

the ignition wire to the coil is black, I am not sure what colour the one is to the radiator fan, and I cannot work out why you would need this for an alarm

im confused as to why u want to know what the fan supply is?

but as a general rule ignition live on a vauxhall is black

permenant live is red and brown is earth

some alarms need the wire for the fan because if you park up and your engine is still hot, if the fan kicks in after the alarm has been set it will set it off

but it is only needed on engines where the fan is on a perment live so that it can come on if the ignition is not on :lol:
