Been fitting some more pipes to the bay :-
http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y15/joff-turbo-nova/Bay5a.jpg
Now sorting the intercooler to tophat pipe :-
http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y15/joff-turbo-nova/Bay6a.jpg
Also fitted the alloy radiator, however one of the water pipes for the waterjacket for the turbo is a little too close to the rad - I'm speaking to Paul at Roose Motorsport to see if there is anything we can do to sort this!
http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y15/joff-turbo-nova/Waterpipe1a.jpg
http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y15/joff-turbo-nova/Waterpipe3a.jpg
Need to sort out some oil cooler pipes and plumb in the guages and we are nearly ready for a crank!
Joff
oooohh, aaaahhh, wow!
i think that just about covers it lol
Looks ace, could you not just bend the 90 deg elbow abit more?

WOW! looks awesome. can't wait to see it in the flesh!:thumb:
joff cant you just put abit of heat on the elbow to take the bend over 90 degrees\? job done!
nice job mate rebuilding my nova now going turbo'd sorry to pick ur brain got a few questions for ya how did u get the intercooler to sit flat and the geabox mount(the body one) is it the same one or have u bought the mount kit the one u weld up and is it hard sorry about this in a bit of a pickle over it cheers

You could rotate the chra slightly to move the water pipe closer to the engine. Either that or try and sort out the correct turbo to pipe union for the water pipe as that one looks far longer than any i have ever had on a KKK.

The front panel has been cut back to accomodate the larger intercooler - see pic below :-
http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y15/joff-turbo-nova/Front1a.jpg
The F28 mount is mostly bespoke fabrication - here's a pic of how its all mounted together :-
http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y15/joff-turbo-nova/F28mount1a.jpg
Hope this answers the questions.
Joff
yeah sorry mate just see your first page computer didnt load it up earlier c what u meen with the intercooler the gearbox did u have to weld the mount on or is it custom one from bespoke was going to run a f20 but there not strong enough

The actual rubber mount part is a TAS group N mount (no longer available as TAS went bust - try BAT Motorsport or ebay) The rest of the mount is bespoke made up from some rather thick sheet steel.

Bit more mincing today.....
Rebuilt the chromed distributor housing - after about 12 months apart I struggled a bit to put it back together - after looking at EPC for a bit I think I now have it sorted .....
http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y15/joff-turbo-nova/Dizzy1a.jpg
Also wired up all the back of the block - nothing really picture worthy here ! Also sorted out the bottom pulley and alternator belt - nice new alloy pulley from a mate near Hornsea ....
http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y15/joff-turbo-nova/pulley3a.jpg
http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y15/joff-turbo-nova/pulley4a.jpg
Also connected all the vacume pipes up but am unsure where I should T in the HKS BOV and the pipe up to the boost guage - have asked in Technical!
http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y15/joff-turbo-nova/BOV1a.jpg
http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y15/joff-turbo-nova/BOV2a.jpg
Also cleaned up my stainless exhaust which was covered in general muck . I have noticed that the middle box has a crack around the weld holding the pipe into one end - I have some stainless MIG wire on order which should sort out this problem, then its on with the exhaust wrap and back on the car....
http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y15/joff-turbo-nova/Exhaust1a.jpg
Next job this week is to get some pipes made up at my local Pirtek place !
Cheers

Yes that is the hot start valve. You are best to not plumb it into the vacume system. Leave it wired up but ignore it with the vacume pipe work. It car cause terrible fueling issues if it goes wrong and they do go wrong. It will cause no harm or problems leaving it out.
looking good joff..

I was planning on trying a GTE/GSI one that I have had powdercoated silver same as the tie bars.
There are two schools of thought on using ARB's basically I will try it with and without then make my mind up whether I use it or not.

I went from using no ARB to using one off a SR and i PERSONALLy thought it made a huge diffenerence and felt alot more stable.
Granted, i was only running a standard SR lump but the principals are the same IMO.
My corsa will be running a 24mm ARB from a Combo van - Food for thought.

looking good joff..
everyone seems to heat wrap exhaust at the min..whats the advantages?
Taken from another forum :-
Heat-wrapping the exhaust is claimed to reduce under-bonnet temperatures by up to 70%. A friend who is overseas actually tested this with a thermocouple mounted in several places in the engine bay, including the intake pipe, and the data certainly showed a significant reduction in intake temps at the very least. I think it will be especially beneficial for anyone running a cone filter setup in their car. I was once told by a tuner that if you even reduced the intake temp by 2 degrees C, it would make a difference to performance, so I guess every little thing that helps head in that direction is probably worthwhile.
Original thead here : -
http://www.volvoclub.org.uk/forum/archive/index.php/t-17159.html
As I'm running a cone filter every little change in temp must be a bonus - I'm not planning on wrapping the turbo due to the oil cooking type possible senario's that could happen.
Joff
i have heard that heat wrapping turbo manifolds can actually lead to melting metal!

Just a thought joff. rather than running the water pipe from the turbo ALL the way around the back of the ngine why not run it clipped to the slam panel and straight to the header?

I'm off all this week so hopefully there will be some work done !
Sorted the exhaust with the heat wrap ....
http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y15/joff-turbo-nova/Exhaust4a.jpg
http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y15/joff-turbo-nova/Exhaust5a.jpg
Also dug out the rear silencer and cleaned it up ....
http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y15/joff-turbo-nova/Exhaust6a.jpg
Then mounted up the exhaust on some deflex poly mounts which really does hold the exhaust nice and tight !
http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y15/joff-turbo-nova/Exhaust3a.jpg
http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y15/joff-turbo-nova/Exhaust2a.jpg
Next job is get the gauges plumbed in so there aren't any holes in the oil or water system . Got two of the three gauages in - broke the glass on the boost guage, however the nice people at Racetech are going to supply me a replacement FOC - :thumb: :)
http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y15/joff-turbo-nova/gauge1a.jpg
Been to Pirtek to get some hoses sorted for the oil cooler - bit of a problem here - the oil rad I have has 5/8" BSP connections , the sandwich takeoff plate will run 3/8" BSP fittings. Due to them being 2 sizes away from each other this is a real problem getting pipework and fittings to fit into the small area under the wing.
Solution : a new mocal one from Rally Design with 1/2" BSP fittings which will mate up nicely - should be here later this week . Old one is now on eaby if anyones interested!
Cheers

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y15/joff-turbo-nova/Front3a.jpg
Just noticed that the intercooler isn't quite straight on its mounts - will sort when I put the front bumper on!
Also got a short shaft and inner CV joint from a 2.0 Cavalier ready for the equal length driveshaft conversion - just need the shaft from Mark Beeson once its available.
Dash is really the next big job!

Can cause the manifold to crack earlier, more so with cheap thing stainless turbo manifolds......

Bit more sorting today ....
Got a new oil cooler from Rally Design with 1/2" BSP connections, made up a crud catcher to protect it on the rear side from anything thrown up by the wheel as it will be living in the offside wheel arch ....
http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y15/joff-turbo-nova/Oilcooler4a.jpg
Next job was nip into Hull to Pirtek and get some new pipes sorted . Nice chaps , gave me some good advice - cheers :thumb:
http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y15/joff-turbo-nova/Oilcooler3a.jpg
Then came back and get everything mounted up. The pipes were a bit of a pain to get sorted as they don't have much give in them but got there in the end ....
http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y15/joff-turbo-nova/Oilcooler1a.jpg
http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y15/joff-turbo-nova/Oilcooler2a.jpg
Should be able to sort out the gauges and the dash tomorrow.

wow how amazing is this car going to be? lol
how much has it actually cost you joff (if you dont mind me asking?
Joff i had my hoses the same as yours and found they would end up fouling the wheel, they had to go almost verticaly from the sandwich plate, and the elbows off the plate need to be heated up to clear the inner arch, but that was on 45mm off set
joff can u please post some pics up of your tie bars where you've lowered them, the bit im interested in is how youve raise the horizontal bolt on the front, looks quite beefy lol, you can just see it in this picture here:

Right , with the help of Racetech I now have my gauges sorted, put into the pods and nearly plumbed in .....
http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y15/joff-turbo-nova/pod1a.jpg
Once some glue holding the bottom of the pods has gone off we are ready with the dash installation - all the piping for the screen vents and side vents is now sorted and the wiring sorted for the EPAS system.
http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y15/joff-turbo-nova/pod2a.jpg
This pic reminds me that I need the sun visors retrimming when I get the door cards sorted.
Also installed the short shaft for the equal length drive shaft conversion - just need the short shaft from Mark B. which should be here sometime next week.

Bloody hell, this car has come a long way since I last looked at the thread !
Not to sound picky BUT I wouldn't mount the electronics for the HID setup there, water will pour down that part of the car either when washing it or driving in the rain, nothing is that waterproof.
It might not be a problem but if it was mine I'd either move them into the bay somewhere (and there is room ;) ) or turn them upside down so the water does not sit on the electric plug side of the units
Who made the Rad and IC ?

One wire is a sealed into the unit from the factory, the other I have now used silicone seal both inside & out so should be OK - thanks for thinking about it anyway!
The intercooler and radiator were made up by Radtech Ltd based in the West Midlands - made a spot on job with them both!
Joff
No problem mate, could just imagine you in the middle of nowhere with no lights ! Sounds like you have it covered though.
I thought that was the Radtec setup, I used Pro Alloy as their local for my escort but fook me do you pay for the finish !
Have you moved the oil cooler pipework as advised or do you think it will be ok, if the pipes touch the body I would wrap them in something as a old xe nova I had used a similar setup and eventually it did run through due to engine movement.
Food for thought, looks awesome though, look forward to seeing it at PV

There is very little movement from the engine due to the group N TAS solid mounts so I will keep an eye on the pipework and make sure its OK
Joff
TBH mate I've just been in the garage and looked at my mates and on full lock there is probably enough room for -10 hose so steering clearance wont be a issue, 15" wheels though on my Ads.
I have also used the same mounts before and trust me if there touching the bodywork then they will rub through as that part of the engine will move the most.
As its not a shonky old xe you have in there I would be aware as no oil pressure does bad things lol ;)
I do have a solution for this if its the problem I think it is. I made a bracket to hold the oil pipes that bolts on to the engine utilizing a spare bolt hole just above the sump and next to the oil pump (where that big bolt is). If you get it right the oil pipes clear the wheel, the bottom pulley and make it to the front without touching anything.
If your intrested I will look for some piccys. Unfortunatley my engine is sitting out of the car at the mo, so if I can't find any piccys (Im sure I have some though) I can't post any. Be warned its not pretty but im sure you could make a pretty version.
I don't usually post in WIP threads because there is only so many times you can say great etc etc. However i've been following this one as I do alot of WIP threads. So whilst im posting I thought I would add - Top work Joffhttp://www.pvgevents.net/forum/style_emoticons/default/yahoo_clap.gif

I then filled up the cooling system - no leaks :thumb:
I then popped round to my local garage and got a can of Unleaded and put some fuel in the tank - again no leaks :thumb:
I filled up the oil in the engine and prepared to crank over the engine to get some oil pumped round all the various parts (mainly the bearings in the turbo) and hit a snag ! The engine now cranks from a push to start button on the dash and this is routed through a relay on the fuse box. However upon pushing the button, the relay clicks but the soleniod doesn't kick the starter into life
Also checked for fuel pressure (none :( ) so unsure whats happening here!!
Both problems will need further investigation and I hope I do not have to pull the dash out to sort it!!!! A bit of patience and a bit of logical fault finding should sort things out!
Joff
cant beleive how professional the dash looks joff!!

Joff How many pin relay is it? 4?
You will have a 12v feed to the relay from the switch, then a earth from the relay(which earths the relay solenoid when)
The other two wires, one will go to the starter solenoid, and the other should be a Permanent red 12v...
You get a click from the relay, so the earth and 12v to it(from the switch) is fine. The fault must lie in the main 12v feed to the relay, or the feed from the relay to the starter solenoid.
Or the connection at the solenoid is bad, no engine earth, or a bad solenoid.
You wont have any fuel pressure will you not, as no cranking engine=no fuel pump...... Fuel pump doesn't run unless the engine is running/cranking.
That dash looks amazing, top top work there :thumb:
might sound stupid but have you checked the earths, or you haven't used switching live instead of a permanent on something? I doubt it tho looking at your work...
EDIT: Didn't see LLTN post

I thought the fuel pump primes when you turn the ignition on????
Joff
Pretty sure it doesn't on Xe/Let.
Only when cranking.
Is it on std management?

Mine primes on the ignition been turned on but its not on standard management.

Yep standard management system - I'll get the multi-meter out next week and start tracing wires back.
1st - change the relay unit just to make sure its not a dodgy unit!
2nd - check to see if there is a complete circuit from the soleniod to the relay unit in the fusebox.
3rd - check to see if the starter wire is being presented with a +ve
We'll then see what presents itself!
Joff
Just to confirm the pump definitely doesn't prime unless cranking with an XE/LET in.
Crank sensor could cause this fault
krobinson
13-03-07, 07:52 PM
well how'd you get on Joff?
My old XEJ didn't prime unless crank sensor had been triggered. Had a whole evening finding that one out.. impressed I wasn't (not least because observation totally contradicted the Bosch technicians manual!!!!)
Rather than **** about with wires just turn ignition on (plugs out) and hand crank engine a small amount... listen out for the tell tale momentary prime.
Starter motor solenoid - no idea, guess you want to check the wiring at its end.
Ben.

WOW! Some real progress here Joff! Dash looks great!
Out of interest, what stat to rad hose you using? 1.3/1.4 or GTE/GSI?
Also, my nova doesn't prime the pump until cranking.
And, this is how I done mine and there's now clearance about 5-10mm.

Simps i think that is how myne is going to have to go! as i have already said myne did not fit doing it the way Joff has, just not enough clearance on full lock to be safe, thats with 16" et 45 wheels and 195/45 tyres

You-tube is now playing ball ....
Well a rather eventful day all round !
First job was get the engine cranking - put in a extra wire with a crocodile clip on the end and connected to the soleniod wire on the starter motor.
Got the video camera out and shot the results - the engine cranked without any problems!!!
Next job ..... put the plugs, leads and distributor cap on and see what happens ....
and.....
it sort of started ......
then died !!!
No matter what it would not idle at all.
Logic then kicked in ...... I spotted I still had the immobiser on - doh !!!!!
Immobiliser off .....
Started first time !!!!!
HURRAY !!!!!!
Some of you wanted some video footage of the event so here it is on You Tube ....
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dezRansJEY0
(you may have to wait a bit until its approved by You Tube)
Also sorted out the starter problem - it was the relay in the fuse box that was causing the problem - so it means it starts from the button and that I don't have to take the dash out to find the fault - another HURRAY !!!
However a couple more problems have surfaced now the engine is running ! Firstly the oil cooler unions are leaking oil - these need a bit of a tweak ! Secondling there is quite a trickle of coolant coming from the back of the block somewhere near the starter under the inlet manifold and thirdly the alternator charge warning box on the digidash is flashing.
I have already sorted the pipes but the alternator problem and the leak are on the list of jobs to sort.
Enjoy the footage !

Cool little vid. had some downloading issues at 4min20ish & heard the 'wahey' after it fired about 11 times now. Actually quite funny.
Get some lube on the threads of the jubilee clips that are leaking, you'll get more turns on them & thus they go tighter.
Top stuff, glad we will have this on the stand at PV.
Outstanding joff bet that was an extremely happy moment for you, very impressed as always, she getting close now im getting giddy and excited for you lol!!

Bit of an update on the nova....
Got the oil leak and water leak sorted . The oil leak turned out to be a nut on the oil pump not fully nipped up. The water leak was the 3 way pipe on the back on the water pump where it meets the piccolo tube - a jubilee clip was not on right so after taking part of the driveshaft out and the idle control valve for access its now fixed and no leaks!
Ran the engine up to full working temp with the fan kicking in on the normal thermostatic switch and the engine now sounds really smooth with no ticks knocks or funny noises.
The charging light situation has now sorted itself out and no warning lights are on the dashes and all the gauages show the correct readings.
Next on the jobs to do is get the central console in along with the kickwell covers (being converted from corsa ones). I can then get the front and rear seats in.
More pics to follow once something looks different!!!
Cheers

Right got some more work done today - with the engine now fully working I have turned my attention to getting some of the interior sorted so I can get the seats in and take it for a spin!
First job was to sort the centre console - I have decided to mount the intercooler inlet and outlet temp displays in the ashtray so needed a home for the corsa triple info display and came up with this (early stages) ....
http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y15/joff-turbo-nova/Centre3a.jpg
It then needed a bit of blending and smoothing ....
http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y15/joff-turbo-nova/Centre4a.jpg
And finally spraying matt black ready for the flocking ...
http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y15/joff-turbo-nova/Centre5a.jpg
Also started on the kickwell - I have decided that as per the corsa application its easier to mount the ECU here than having keep dropping on my feet whilst driving (as the corsa dash does not have a drivers side shelf!
http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y15/joff-turbo-nova/Kick1a.jpg
Also managed to get the rear bumper fitted - looks quite good without the number plate light and towing eye recess .....
http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y15/joff-turbo-nova/RBumper1a.jpg
http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y15/joff-turbo-nova/RBumper2a.jpg
I also sorted out the mounting holes on the nearside which needed lengthening as the bumper sat too low down the quarter panel as seen here.....

More updates later.

The SXI wheels are for general running around / trackday / drag strip action and have Yokohama A539's on them.

They are standard Sparco Torino's which have been retrimmed in alcantara. Nova subframes have been adapted to fit the sparco sliders so I still have full front - back adjustability.
Rears are just standard SR ones that have been retrimmed to match the fronts.
I am currently having some door cards and sunvisors sorted to match the rest of the interior.

Did a mock up of the digi-dash with the corsa clock surround - square peg round hole springs to mind ....
http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y15/joff-turbo-nova/LCD1a.jpg
It will need some trimming at the top corners but looks like it will just fit (hopefully!)
Also started sorting the surround for the CD-changer in the glovebox ....

Also started on fitting the Nos progressive controller to the inside of the glovebox lid - I'm having to make up a cover for the unit to cover over the bolts and wiring ....

Just to be different really, the corsa dash lends itself to do this conversion as it is almost identical on each half and its an idea I had about 2 years ago and wanted to implement.
More of an update, the drivers side digidash is in and working . Was able to source some bespoke films for the dash which are mostly in blue with the odd splash of other colours around. Also got some TVR stalks as well which are very nice ......

how hard was the stereo mod can you give a breif guide on how you made it work
This took a while to sort out mainly due to trying to find a head unit with not too many connections between the faceplate and rear unit.
Eventually I found that the P-series Pioneer unit only had 9 connections on the face plate so I got some multi core cable from Maplins and did a bench test to see if there was sufficient power in the connections to run a cable of c.2m .
All I needed to do was solder a wire to each side of the connection point on both the headunit and face plate - 9 in total
Thankfully there was sufficient power to run the faceplate so I then modded up the sunvisor by removing the light unit from an SRI sunvisor and mounted up the faceplate. Headunit lives under the front seat and the CD changer is in the glovebox.
I ran the system like this when the Nova was running before this rebuild and has been working like this for about 3 years.
Quite funny really that I bought the headunit and CD changer brand new - and its never been installed as standard - its always been run with the link cable lol lol Glad it worked !
Hope this helps

Put the nova back onto its wheels and had a bit of a problem. The coilovers were height set before I put the engine ancillaries and interior in. When I lowered to the ground I couldn't get my jack out
Out the with C-spanner and a bit of fiddling with the coilovers and its now sitting fine and I can get my jack out !!!!

Radtech in Cannock I think - around the ?300 mark if I remember correctly. Did a pukka job as I needed a thinner core due to the turbo so they used a core with more fins per square inch to compensate.
They also made up my intercooler as well (which I got first). Wouldn't hesitate to recommend as their turn around time on both items was within 10 working days. Aparently some of the Pace bespoke stuff can take months!
Had to take the intercooler off after the pics were taken as it wouldn't clear the back of the transporter !!!! It started to rain as well - MY BABY HAS GOT WET !!!!!
Should be away till next Thursday/Friday when I will nip up and pick it up. Got loads of jobs to do sorting the front speaker pods into the door pockets and installing the rear speakers into the side shelves (again all bespoke work as the're 6" in the front and 5 1/4" jobbies in the rear).
Also need a major clean up in the garage!

Pleased to confirm it passed its MOT test yesterday !!!!
Got a couple of cautions - both rear wheel bearings excessive play (don't they all - nip them up too tight and they will burn out!) and an intermittant horn (blame that on on the snap-off steering boss).
Didn't think that was too bad really for what is in essence a complete new rebuild!!
Need to tax it this morning and drive it back from Bridlington - first time really out on the roads so should be interesting - the wife will be following in the vectra just in case (if she can keep up lol )

Just brought it back from Bridlington this lunch time - about 18 miles - I forgot how stiff uprated suspension is
Seems to run fine and comes on boost (just -as I'm just running in) when it should. One slight problem which I need to sort - no speed reading - I will need to check the connection on the digidash sender unit and make sure its getting power. May also disconnect the passenger side dash to see whether this is affecting it in any way.
The EPAS works brill. Its really heavy whilst sat without the ignition on - turn on the ignition and start the engine and it becomes considerably lighter to turn.
I need to sort out the electric windows as well (which will be in the door builds) as it was rather hot behind glass today!!!
All in all very good !!!
Just need to finish off the ICE and give it a damn good clean ready for PVS. Got some Meguairs stuff coming!
Cheers for now

I also can now reveal the theme for my Nova - its a Nova 888 (i.e triple eight engineering) . Based on the Astra 888 limited edition, my nova shares the same colour (Europa Blue), same seats (Sparco Tornios), interior with similar ques (blue central area) and a turbo engine (albeit mines a C20LET not a Z20LET) . So I have badged up the back accordingly .....

Whilst I am taking the wheels off and on sorting out any problems / putting on trim & bumpers they are staying in a pile in the corner of the garage. I am getting the out shortly to check if they hold tyre pressure / leaks etc!

I have some of the Vauxhall lettering, its just that the trim tape on the back of the letters has come off so I tried these letters.
Opinions please - do I :
1. Leave just the 888 badge?
2. Leave them all on as is?
3. Change the Nova to Vauxhall chome ones?
4. Lose the lot?

personally i like the lettering as it is! its different - the car isnt standard, so why go for standard lettering.
its a personal touch and the car is styled to YOUR taste and not to impress everyone else - you have done that with the amount of work !
This car is going to weigh so much with all the ICE and MDF and what not lol :thumb:

What about the 888 badges under the side repeaters?
I would leave the boot plain and simple :)
Personally Joff, i'd loose all the badges.
And replace the 888 with a Vynal Sticker ! Should look more flush and neat, in keeping with the rest of the car.
I'd prehaps think about putting a vynal 888 under each side-repeater.
I wouldn't have stickers full stop, but you've gone to alot of effort to match it to the 888 spec, so may as well !

I dont want to say too much as I may upset you but that badge should only be on an original 888 imo(Being an Astra 888 owner myself), that is why you need a V5 to buy spares.

you don't own an 888 so how would you know! I do own one and I know that Vauxhall will not release 888 specific parts without the vehicles chassis number.
Its to stop people trying to stick the bits on the likes of a Nova!(Sorry Joff, no offence intended).
ANYWAY enough arguing, back to the subject of Joffs car please Sorry fella!
Releasing parts without a chassis number is quite common...
Down at my Friends dads ralliart Mitsi dealership they like to know the Chassis Numbers for the Evo parts.
When i went to Honda to get a Jazz Wiper, they wanted a chassis number too.
Novasport
22-05-07, 02:06 PM
Stealers will normally ask for a chassis number for any part if they had anything about them so they can order the correct part for that vehicle.
I work at a dealer and our parts lads always ask for the chassis number as there may be 2 or 3 slightly different parts even for the same model.
Dealers would not be able to sell you 888 parts as Vauxhall would not release them to the dealer unless you could 'borrow' a chassis number.

I might not own an 888, but my mate is parts manager at Pentagon Vauxhall, supplied a lot of Joffs parts and others on this site incl. Me, Ian Storey, Lee H. I rang him, and he said the only reason they ask for chassis number is because a lot of the parts are non-standard and it's easy to supply the wrong parts. He said he would order/supply parts with no chassis no. but if they are wrong, you can't have a refund! My wife is an accountant for BMW and they're like that with M-sport parts.......
I must apologise though because of the way i wrote the original comment looked ****y, and i didn't mean it like that! I should have explained it properly!
Still shouldn't have ANY badges though Joff!

You can order standard Vauxhall part without the chassis number but not 888 items as it stops people building replicas etc & cheapening the original product.
