fitting a GSi spoiler ?

Is there anyway of fitting a GSi spoiler onto a bootlid that doesn't have the hole already drilled !? (i.e a 1.2 tailgate)

as it looks very hard to get the right position to drill the holes in !

Should i just go buy a sr tailgate from a scrappy and measure the holes, or has someone got some measurements !?

does anyone sell a template ?

+ all the nova bootlids i've seen in my colour aren't the same colour. mines slightly red/brighter. i'm not sure whether another one would polish up the same !
