Can't wait. 2004 has been the best year EVER, since 2003. And i think 2005 might just well be the best year ever since 2004.

Started my new job today, did a full 4 hours compaired to my normal 12 hours at Toby, which i have now left, YIPPEE!!!
The new job is in the kitchen and on the bar so a bit of varity, plus get to work with my gf, which is ok.
It's a free house and Family run and have loads of mates who work there so all friends.
Thats what im looking forward to the most this year.

Oh and getting the Saloon on the road and somehow sorting out my Money situations.

Excellent. Bar jobs are great for socialising and getting paid for it. Better than being stuck in the kitchen with the yorshire puddings all night!

For money problems, just PUT IT ALL ON BLACK.

kitchen/bar work is a fcking nightmare.

i've done it through secondary school, so respect to you, because it takes balls ! (unsociable hours, hard work e.t.c)

Hard work!? lol

I did bar work for 5 years when i was at college/uni, and it was the easiest and most fun work EVER. But then again, i 'worked the system' lol

The hours is a DEFINITE negative. I worked as a restaurant manager for 3 years and i never got to see my friends/girlfriend. Evenings/weekends are the regular days, with days off usually being mon/tues and etc. Crap.

I was lucky tho in only opening the restaurant for evenings, with the exception of an all day sunday. Most places are a mixture of 'split-shifts' (9:00am till 3:30pm then 6:30pm till Finish) and 'straights' (13:00pm till Finish).

You can end up doing average weeks of 55+ hours. Not good. Even if you do fuck all while there.

it is a good laugh, as in the kitchen you can mess around alot !

but the hours are an absolute biatch, also, the stress/pressure and the frustration made me really annoyed.

Frustration being "WHY the FCUK have they come in at 10 mins before last orders... GRRRR"

i just wanted to go home everytime i was at work. not good.

glad i've got a much better job now before i go to uni.

I'm looking forward to getting married at the end of April.

Gonna be a stressful time up until then - but after that, I am really looking forward to finally having some time to relax.

2004 in brief:
January - Bought a new house.
February - Stress over paying two mortgages.
March - Found out i was to be made redundant.
April - Still awaiting details for redundancy. New house almost ready.
May - New house now built. Redundancy date still not settled.
June - Redundancy date set for end of June.
July - Redundancy date reset for August. Sold old flat. Made loadsa money.
August - Redundancy date reset for September.
September - Redundancy date rest for 1st October. Kevs BBQ, wicked.
October - Redundancy finally completed at work. Money from sale of flat arrives a week later. Started new job the following week.
November - christmas around the corner - stress over finances for wedding.
December - Stress relief in the form of relaxation and gifts.

The three most stressful things you can do in life are find a new job, get married and move house... This year i've made arrangement for all of those things. In May 2005 after the wedding i intend to relax for at least 5 years.

you and kev will be invited to the evening "stuff" ... ceremony is only close family.

However, ten minutes of "I Do" is boring anyway - the evening stuff is where all the fun is - laughing at the DJ... laughing at me spilling beer on his decks etc.

Not having a religious ceremony. Civil instead - much more sensible option coz i dont think a reverend... actually now i'm a Lord & a Reverend...

I dont think a reverend should be married in soeone elses church lol.
