What new car !?

I've decided to take the nova off the road (not literally, keep as a 2nd car) whilst the engine is being rebuilt. and permanently use it for a track day car after it's finished.

but what car should i buy to drive for everyday use ?

i've got about ?3.5k (or will do soon) so i'm wanting something that's cheap to insure, quite nippy (only a 1.2 or 1.4) and looks good.

i think it's going to have to be newish, and it's not going to be modified.

i've seen alot of the New punto's (not the brand new ones but the nice ones) for about ?3k ish, maybe a 1.2 sporting !?

any other ideas.

The sporting is quite quick for all it is. 1.2, 6 speed box!

My mate got one new, however, even tho he's a sensible driver, it had 2 gearboxes in 3 years. They are very soft. Other than that, it was a well finished, nice car!

Other than that, what about a SRI Corsa c? Depends on your insurance group really. For 3k you have a good choice, especially in older cars!

i don't think it's wise for me to get another old car.

i would like an E30 (1.8) but theres too much to go wrong with it.

i'd like something that's new, comfortable, smooth and quiet and is reliable.

basically, the complete opposite to a nova

the sportings are nice, look good with the factory kit.
