Guys,

Does anyone know how thick a 1400 Corsa Sport clutch should be?

I've fitted an AP paddle clutch to My car with the std cover, but when I hit the throttle in 3rd 4th or 5th the clutch just spins/slips! It is fully engaged!!

I removed the gearbox today and fitted a std nova cover but now have no drive at all, I think the AP clutch plate is too thin and is not having enough compression between the flywheel and the clutch cover plate.

What do You think?

doesnt the 16v lumps have pot style flywheels? which would mean u cant use a std nova pressure plate with them?

perhaps the std cover is a bit worn and not providing the correct clamping force? or cable is maybe misadjusted

mine did a similar thing with my old 1400 and i'd missed one of the bolts from the pressure plate

might be worth giving AP a call and asking them?
