lol... yeah, 8v will fit (as will 16v and Turbo, see above :wink:); but you'll need new engine mounts. Restrengthening the shell isn't necessarily required, but its definitely advisable.

isnt the calibre the same as the 130sri engine, anyway it will fit an be the same to fit as 2lt 16v

one of those in my town looks quite nice with its alloys and on the deck

If its a Calibra 8v engine DONT BOTHER, they were fitted with the awful 115 bhp derivative!
Get a Cav Sri engine instead (if you want an 8 valve!)
You strenghten the engine bay by seam welding everything then drop in the 2L engine
