Anyone got a pic of their radiator with a redtop engine fitted. Mine looks a bit small for the size of the engine so wondering if they have used the original radiator for the conversion. Also i dont think the temp gauge works so should this be easy to wire up?

thanks

Use a GSi/GTE/TD radiator.

i used the gsi rad from my car that was already in.
seems to work fine for me.

or use the ones ben said, they are the biggest rad in standard form you can get. unless you get one made, then costs are involved.

ok thanks, think i will change it as it does seem a little small. must be the standard 1400 sr radiator thats in it.

The 1400 SR should have the same size radiator as the GTE/GSi, I thought the TD rad was different to the petrol ones?

dunno, it seems small unless its had a smaller than standard one put in. there is a good few inches gap between the cross member and the start of the radiator. will get some pics up sometime when i am next out at the car

i though all early nova's and gte/gsi/sri had bigger radiators and mk2's and slightly smaller radiators?

Mine was listed in the parts book for a 1400 and 1600 nova. It cost around ?45 from my local motors factors IIRC. The TD radiator is different because I rang today for a price for one for mine and it was ?105 :o

i have a 1.2 rad in mine an its been fine. The td one is massive compared to all other novas. It also has different piping in differnet places if you know what i mean

I have a 1.4I radiator.
Which I have used fisrt 5 years with the C20XE engine.
I still use the same radiator with the C20LET Phase 3,5 engine.
And believe it or not it works perfect even on full load for a long time.
Infact the radiator of een Calibra C20LET is smaller than a Calibra C20XE.

i have the 1.2 rad (the one on stilts) and the car overheats when booting it for a while. ie castle coombe. the temp is allways about half way up the guage even with the fan on all the time. get a gte gsi one as just to be safe
