had a look at the car i won on ebay,and a few things make me run a mile,n others make me wanna giv him the cash!!!!
heres a few things i noticed

A-3inch square hole in boot pan,next to wheel arch in left hand cnr
B-bit o rust on drivers dr under glass
C-passenger dr creased due 2 a gsxr750 droppin off its stand and catchin the vinyl :o
D-front strut housin has flakey rust on the weld at the back
E-winscreen cracked in top pass side cnr
F-rear clusters which look like they hed tights on em actually been sprayd silver(BADLY)
G-both front wings have bad filler around indicators
H-dash looks like its been put i by stevie wonder
I-very smokey whilst tickin over,oil drips on floor(GOOD SMOKE SCREEN AND OIL SLICKS) KNIGHTRIDER STYLEE
J-REAR NR SIDE WING HAS ROTTED WHERE the sideskirts sweep up the arch

WILL IT BE WORTH BOTHERING WITH OR SHOULD I FUCK IT OFF?????
(wanna get mot'd asap,run around for 6mths or so,THEN do it up)!!!!!!!

Easy weld in patch up job



B-bit o rust on drivers dr under glass
Hmm... could be a pain to get at, you'll be looking at taking the window out to clean up properly.

How badly creased? Shouldn't be too hard to repair, or buy a spare door.

Hmmm, rust round the suspension components is usually a bad thing, especially from an MOT point of view!



E-winscreen cracked in top pass side cnr
If its a bad crack you better watch this doesn't get frost in it and make it worse



F-rear clusters which look like they hed tights on em actually been sprayd silver(BADLY)
Police and MOT might not be too happy about them, especially if the reflectors are covered. Replacement rear lights are ten a penny though so no worries there.



G-both front wings have bad filler around indicators
Hmmm, botched up repairs that you can see make you wonder if there are any botched up repairs you can't see.



H-dash looks like its been put i by stevie wonder
Mk2 conversion? Check all the electrics work.

looks like the engine is in a bad shape... whats the mileage? Any service history at all??

...which means under the sideskirts is probably a whole lot more rust.

Well thats if it can get through an MOT.... even if it does I'd say run it for a bit then cut your losses. There's a whole lot of Novas out there in much better condition.

Depends how much of a challenge you like :wink:

If it was me, I'd run it for now but keep my eyes open for one in better nick - even if its a Mk1, you could nick what bits you want from your Mk2 and stick them on.

In the pics it looks quite tidy mate, but from that list i think i would run a mile. Although it was quite cheap and it could be fixed up, after 144k, a lot of stuff is going to need constantly replacing i think.
