how hard is it to change, do i need any special tools etc??

ull need a waterpump, cambelt and some elbow grease, not hard really.

oh, and sum antifreeze/water!

it might be a bit easier if you had a GM waterpump spanner, but its not vital

i think i paid about ?12 for mine

but you can do it without. its basically to tension the cam belt after replacing the pump (+ seal etc)

That is if you dont have a siezed one. Not even the tool could shift that

i needed a 6 foot bar to get mine out :lol: smashed the pulley off before the pump popped out

yeah i used a big lump hammer and just kept whacking the pully untill it broke free. i found that if you start the engine before you remove any thing so it warms up the wharm water helps the thing brake free

Good advice there!! It wil come out just need to wait and say calm lol.

you will also need allen key to undo the 3 nuts holding it in.

i also use a hammer and a stick. just hit the side of the water pump in the oppersite direction and it comes out.

as said, warming the car up is a good idea.

not a difficlut job, don't waste your ?12 on a special tool, just a hammer and the allen keys.
