iv got a 1.4 sri & wen i get 2 about 110mph i can smell burnin n then white smoke comes from the engine it dose not overheat or anything the car is runnin perfect not using loads ov oil or water any ideas wat it cud be???????? the car has only bin on the road a ouple ov monthes it was stood for about a year be 4 that

Well if its white smoke(steam) then your coolant is boiling up and forcing the pressure through the expansion tank cap.

not this old chesnut again! doubt it if he isnt using/loosing water and the temp isnt going up...

Simple solution, dont do 110 mph, an sri is only ment to have a top speed of 107 mph! slow down man, besides if your seen by the cops doing that you will loose you licence there and then!!!!

if it was the hose on a manifold wudnt it av split if it was smokin
check ur hoses n e way cause u dont want them to split especially in front of about 200 modified cars like mine did.

probably wot mine did, waterpump pishing out water onto the lower half of the manifold, manifold hot, water avaporates, causing steam = white smoke/steam?

Mine does 120 easy even had 129out of it coming back from brigg house cruise but doing things like that is wat got me band for a year lol
was doing 90 in a 40 undertaking 3cars past a pig slyed away in apetrol station wen i was racing my mate in his civic beat him though lol

just to correct things, you werent doing 129mph. Nova speedo's are well known for being inaccurate. You'll find out it was probably doing less than the claimed top speed anyway.
And anyway mine can do 120 in 4th but i doubt it does
