does that mean i cant lower it then?? or what??
yeah it torshon bars at rear which
are best altered by profesionals
arnt the fronts springs tho phill
if they are best place is to get the springs made up at brigg springs and get them fitted whist having the back dropped

Right, thats you off my msn then
if irc the rear torsion bar is just a case of undo the bolt and select a lower postion and then just re-do the bolt back up

yeah but you have to be very pricice when doing it so you get them both at the same height
stop being narrow minded you fcuks
106's are fantastic cars. I know what id buy given then choice between a nova and a 106.

so do i
Given the choice of Nova vs 106, like for like I'd go for the Nova. Otherwise I'd get a 205 over a 106. I'm not a great fan of small hatchbacks any more, the Nova and 205 are the only ones I like now.

big fan of the quick silver and the gti
also i think one of chris's mates glenn has a 106 rally (he was at pv this year in a silver nova) it looks well smart

what did i do lol i was being nice and u best get sumone with good eyes to do ur torsion bar
lmfbo, Pug 106's are awesome little car's The rallye 1.3 is up there with the best handeling hatches of all time Inc the williams.
Its fairly easy and straight forward to lower the rear, it works on splines.
Generally, Well on my clio 16v 2 Click's or splines roughly worked out at 60mm, so one should be equaly to 30mm. Now 60mm on a clio is pretty dam low, and the 106's are low anyways. So ideally for practicality i'd stick to 40mm or there abouts, So thats one click yeah.
And match the front's - Gmax are okish budget jobbies. If u want a nice setup get the suspenion off a 1.3 Rallye.
GT
the 106 gti is one of the best handling cars in the world. only problem is its french :?
stop being so fcuking narrow minded AGAIN
lmfbo, He has a point tho mate...
They make shit hot fast cars that handle extremely well, although once something goes your up shit creek with the repair bill.
can be said for a lot of companys tho, esp Vag...

your point being???
u trying to say i cant use this site to find out info bout my car just coz its not a nova!!
u gona tell all tem ppl who are selling cars on here other than novas that they cant coz this is a nova website!!
I DONT THINK SO!!!
Oi, If u aint got a nova... Get the hell outta here. Geee Its not a Pug 106 site :P
Nahh just kiddin hunny, No idea whom you are but Don't let it bother you...
Just remeber Rach, Don't lower it too much or its poor belly will scrape if you accidently go over a speed hump too quick or even visit York drag way lol. . .

In theory lowering a Torsion bar is simple, and on Renaults (Clios, 19s etc) it is exactly a case of undoing the bolt, pulling out the bar. setting the height then putting it back in and tightening the locknut. However on the rear of a 106 it's nowhere near as straightforward as everythings in a stupid place and secured by Spline socket bolts.
106 was always my first choice of car, Nova was last. I currently drive a Renault 19 whilst my Novas are off the road though.

that is correct, i did my torsion bar on my old clio. you need a slidehammer to get the splined socket out. 8)
