Both pieces of in car footage are form the same run around the track. The Escort starts off in front of the Nova. Also because of my limited webspace the escort footage is of lower quality than the Nova footage.

The escort video illistrates just how badly I needed to get some coilovers on my Nova. Just watch her lean around the bends. lol. :wink:

Oh yea the black line down the escort footage was due to the camera having a slight fit :cry:

darren gave me a DVD of all his runs on that day at castle combe, trust me its a great vid to watch. And if your in any doubt in having a look at the vid i would strongly suggest that you do!!

Thanks all, im just uploading the in car footage from the Escort now. Its well worth watching as well, there are a few things in there that arn't clearly seen in the Nova footage. You get to see just how badly my car leans around the bends etc. Didn't seem to effect the handling though. But im sure it did, hence the purchase of AVO's amongst other things.

Im really looking forward to meeting some of you at the trackdays and meets next year :D

Ben, To get to Castle Combe from Derby you drive right past my house so you can come down in convoy with us if you like. Its 1 Hour from Derby to mine... then another 1hr 10mins to Combe.

i was thinking of getting a set of turbo 45 dellortos off an old lotus as i would just have to use a different fuel regulator and bolt the turbo on (i could get the pistons machined for LC too) then id have the best of both worlds.

How did you attach the video camera to take this footage???

good place is to the diagonal on the cage. use some exhaust clamps with a bolt weleded to it the same thread as the camera mount. bend the bolt so that the camera sits streight and put a nut on it as a stop (with a rubber washer to help with vibrations)

we should all meet up and go on togeather. would be well amusing to see all the novas on together

I will hopefully make the MK meet but not in the Nova because its in bits at the mo and I don't fancy driving all that way in it anyhoo. I will be in a 306 GTI-6, I know its French but I love the car! It must be said that its not a patch on my Nova though. Although its alot more comfy :D

I will defo be at every Castle Combe trackday I know about next year, it will be good to see more Novas going around the track :twisted:

Joff - I used a helmet cam and stapped it to the cage. I did used to use a normal camera on a tripod and strapped that to the cage, but that shook alot more. PM me if you want the details of the helmet cam.

Neil - I have the footage of the trackday with the CSL on a different disc but that was my first trackday at Combe and I didn't have the LSD fitted, it looks really slow up to the footage posted here. I expect to pass that CSL next year. Or at least keep up with it.

Next year is going to be one hell of a year. I can't wait!!
