original vin plate wont matter. as longs you got the floor number.
Many cars run without em from what ive seen!
so its not essential for an MOT?

TBH i cant see why mot people make a fuss over them
They carry some info such as paint code ect ect.
The main stampings they should be looking at is the floor stamp. and in ringing cases the engine stamp too.
How easy would it be to make a vin plate if you were a professional ringer.
So i just cant see the point in going overboard about them!
Ahh well just see what the mot test station says. But mine will be going for an mot without one. or it might have a modified one made by me!
:)
Just easier for the MOT tester to look there than on the floor LOL.
How many novas ahve the original engines numbers still in place, i would say about 40% LOL.
Ringing cars is far to easy especially since the internet has taken off so much.
