you're missing a exhaust on your photoshop
lol that's shocking photoshopping :-)
i don't believe her asked for the de-locking e.t.c
i would do it but i'm about to go out,
benji, got any SIDE ON pics, as it'd help with getting the new rims at the right angle !
that's the best pic i can find at the mo. i'll take a better one at the weekend
Benji as a easy fix I'll shop the rims on it at present in anthracite so you get a rough idea of what it'd look like.
I'll either do it later tonight or tomorrow.

lol well your all missing the poiont,as benji needs new wheels,as the ones that are on it are et42..!
And them new ones,as he told me,are et49's..so he needs them badly,i think they will look ace in anthracite, hey benji it will hide the dirt,so you only need wash them every two weeks,lol..
Plus as for lowering it,he can do it if need be,its on avo coilovers
scott
ok i wont bother next time.
like everyone said it needs lowering.
concentrate on lowering it first and get some speedlines.
it's a old pic. this low enough for you?

the point is i have been offered these wheels cheap and i can't decide if i like them. if i was gonna get a new set i would ge compomotive mo's
only u can decide its ur motor as long as ur happy with them
that's why i asked for a photoshop, and not if everyone liked them.
like everyone said it needs lowering.
concentrate on lowering it first and get some speedlines.
it has coilovers
so can be as high or as low as ben wants
(get a gsi bumper ben  (sorry) )
mk2 it.......
 what offset are the wheels? If you are looking at making your car handle wel, get ones with the correct offset mate.
loving the 5 stud hubs
Hmm, so I'm not the only one who noticed this  If those are Boss XTRs, I know you can get them in PCD 4x100 but I thought the offsets were a bit poop?
Sorry for the delay - been a bit busy.
Anyway, original pic with anthracite wheels:

right. just to clear thing's up. the pic is very old. i now have coilovers so ride height is not a issue.
i have been offered a set of wheel's they are very similar to the one's in the pic, but they are a sort of anthracite colour, have new good tyres, are et49 and are ?200 to me.
the picture of the wheel is the only one i could find (first one i came across.) i didn't even think about the 5 stud's in the pic.
my current alloy's are et42, and all 4 are curbed, 3 of them are damaged where i had to remove the locking wheel nut's in a hurry last week, and the other is bent(only slightly) from where i crashed it.
cheers
ben.
ps. my old wheels look good in antracite, shame they are et42 or i could of painted them and fitted slick's
get the offset machined to fit.
one of them is buckled, can that be sorted?
where can i have them machined?
machining is dodgy if your wanting to take a reasonable amount off.
you can machine a few mm's off, but to start taking a reasonable amount off then it compromises the structure of the wheel.
i wanted some et 40's machnining to 46ish, but i was Strongly advised against it, Plus those wheels look like a cheapish make, resulting in even more of a bad idea.
buckling can be sorted out by a alloy wheel refurbisher, look in the yellow pages, your looking at ?40 a wheel to make it look new again.
However, they cannot be "pressed" (truing buckles) if someone has had a go at it themselves (with a hammer or something) as the wheel will not press into it's original position, just a distorted one.
IMO, it's cheaper to get a new set benji .. as having a wheel that throws wieght unevenly will just result in exessive tyre wear and bearing problems.
i've had to same problem with 3 bent fox wheels - personal expirience
sorry just read your 2nd to last post.
you'd be looking at ?180ish to have your old wheels repaired and sprayed anthracite.
As when they "de-kirb" them they spray them up again, so i can't see why a different colour would be anymore than ?40 a wheel.
As for the machining, 42-45mm would probably be OK, you could maybe get a tad more out of it. don't know how much machining is tho...
sorry for those previous posts i didn't read the thread properly.
