Antenna Reception

I've got a zender electric antenna and for some reason, when my amp in on, the reception will be very weak, almost no stations could be heard, if i switch off the amp, it works fine. I checked all the wiring and everything seems ok.

Any comments on what could be the problem?

Interference?

Always keep anything to do with power away from anything to do with signal/reception as they interfere quite badly dependant on what your running through it.

id say you were right mate

i did connect then separetely therefore this should not be the problem. I heard i can connect a relay to the feed from the head unit and connect the amp & antenna through the relay. Is this correct?

we mean if your running sound\antener cables down the same side as power cables
