clarkeson really tries to make some cars look bad

Yes mate saw that aswell, what an awesome car. He does have a point though, that turbo lag was exceptional, i never realised it was that bad :o

Keeping up with the lambo aswell, i'd be grinning if i was in that evo 8)

I think clarkson should have a drive in a twin engined or LET nova and see if he thinks that's quick

come on lets face it.]

5th gear and doing 30mph. what do you recon was going to happen.

the evo is designed for rallying. i can hardly see a rally driver coasting the car like that.

as for clarkeson driving the nova,
he did have a go in the one that vicki butler henderson drove for his video. 2l xe on tb's.
he said it should have been made like that.

one good thing about clarkeson was, he was on a day time programme the other week. his words and not mine "you hit the peddle and some magic happens, then the car goes fast"
he openly admitted that he knows nothing on how an engine works.

but you'd be suprised at how many people actually know what they are talking about.

if he tried to say something technical he'd just get slated, it's proabbly not worth the effort. I'd guess he knows more than me.

but im not afraid of posting things and getting told im wrong, it's the best way to learn.

i think it'd be good to hear him to a feature on todays XE/LET novas. I think it's a real good example of how a great bunch of chaps are turning a dated run of the mill hatch into a really good performing car.

to be honest, i don't know of any other conversions that are the simple and cheap to do ? and provide such a massive power increase + nova's are cheap int he first place.

i spose the only other cheap conversion's are escorts. my mate has got a 4 door escort which i helped put a turbo lump in yesturday, he got the donor car for ?500 so not bad really

tis a good idea to do a feature on it tho, imo

much better than the usual crap

but i would say that as i own a nova

Didn't they have a 2.0 nova on Top gear or suchlike a while back... racing some other car? The Nova caned it and won, but they edited it so the nova lost as thats how the program staff had planned it?

Or am i in cuckoo land on that one lol

yeah mate that was the vicki buttler henderson one lol it was a sport originally but the fitted an xe and it whooped clarksons arse lol

but as said they edited it to make her soin out on last corner lol

tonight was quite good though as i do like evos  (except when tryin to follow chris in matts whilst drivin a 1.4 nova lol )

i know of one way to get rid of the problem of lag..........anti-lag! that thing would fly with that on! 8)
