1.2 aiming 4 at least 130bhp
you felling all right son?

a 2L8V is around the Bhp mark!

to get it to that bhp you mush have spent about atleast ?5-?8K easy just on the engine!

Like he said, my rally Nova is a 1.4 8v with 144 BHP at the wheels and an engine bill of nearly 7000 so far!

mark are you sure about 144@wheels, i think you mean fly mate, unless you are claiming about 170-180 at the flywheel lol

but defo agree silly power only comes with silly money which puts a barrier up for those of us that would go further but cant :(

176 at the fly Dan, trust me, my bank balance feels most of it and I'm only paying half the costs....Consist 1st and 2nds now and our rival is a Pug 205 with a Suzuki Hayabusa 1299cc engine with over 200 bhp...

P.s. just realised I said 8V, the new motor is an ex works corsa 16v motor after the 8v decided enough was enough and gave up.

ah that would explain it then lmfao, was gonna say for an 8v that sounded way ott :P

Lol..Yeah, I was sat there thinking......Come on Dan, it's not that bad...then realised I put 8V and then it hit me...lol

I just wish the rally car was on the road more, but as it is, it gets run then stripped and checked then rebuilt the week before the next rally...It spends most of it's life in bits :o

your not going to get a massive increase in power, maybe 1-2bhp and you wont be able to notice the differnce i would have though

you'll loose torque at around 3000-4500rpm but will gain a slight amount of power at 4k+.

lol

i was gonna make a 140bhp 1.48v.. but i realised it wouldn't be a worthwhile spend of my money.

now im gonna look at getting that from my 1.6 :-)

as i pointed out in your other thread getting 130bhp at 5600rpm is actually IMPOSSIBLE (even your current claimed 118bhp at that point is impossible)

simple as that

and i'd happily put money on the fact that my totally std 110bhp 1.6 16v would waste your 1.2

id agree that at first glance it does seem a little hard to swallow

lets race and see

I'm getting very bored of hearing about this '118bhp' 1.2. Londoner_2001, are you listening to anything being said? I think you need to go to a reliable and realistic rolling road and get a read out-i think you'll be quite dissapointed.

Sorry, that comment was intended for fcukednova, not you londoner_2001.

If these bhp figures are true, i imagine a 4 branch will add at least 35-40 bhp

Give the kid a chance!
He's just done the old add up what the manufacturers claims of max power output for each mod.
If I did mine I'd have over 130bhp!! (on my E16SE!)

Nick

130bhp on an e16se is very so possible.

120bhp on a 1.2 is really really really not easily possible.

i very much doubt his power levels too, i have 118bhp at the wheels from my 1.6 8v, and that has took a fair wedge of cash to get me there
