all started other day when cam belt snapped i replaced that and took it for a test drive and about 15 min into the test drive blow the top rad pipe so i got one of them and took it out gain tonight and the water pump pipe blow up! am gettin realy fucked of need help asap!

sounds like something pressurising the coolent system :| could be the thermostat jammed or the headgakset on the way out. Has it been loosing water at all?

where is the stat on thease? isa 1.2ish! do ya reckon that if the head gasket was on the way out that would cause it?the thought had run through my head but it seemed craxy that if it was the gasket that it would blow pipes like this!i did notice that it will usally hit 120mph just but tonight it was flat out at 80mph and with my foot buried to the ground as daft as it sounds it was loosing speed! ne ideas spring to mind?

if you snapped the cam belt, something could be really wrong. bent valves/conrods and such.....

he said its a 1.2 so these engines are safe so would have caused no damage

Well a blown headgasket will cause it to pressurise the coolent system as the engine works a bit like a pump, same things been happening to my blue beast, thing to do is turn it over a few times with out letting it get warm and check if air comes out of the expansion tank.

head gasket is fooked.

alex's top rad hose would get mega pressureised and not let down until the head gasked went royally. had to have about 3" skimmed off lol

it was more like 60 thou

cheers 4 help ppl and i thought i would just say i new that writing it goes 120 would get some kinda cocky comment but its true! its far from standerd tho> few little things like twin webber,4branch manafold high lift cam, 5 speed box more timing init than ive ad hot dinners!
raced saxo vtr and he called me a lieing **** when i told him its only a 1.2! ford focus 18 zetec and over took on a juel carridge way at 105mph that was the first car i raced n relized just how quick the nova is! pug 306 down m25 (over took him at 100mph on the slip road before joining the motor way) he wasnt impressed as he hadjust spent ???s on the engine!
and this i can see 1 of u old boys grumbling bout went to reading can cruise and raced a 20l turbo nova and left him standing till i hit 90mph and then the thing flew past at some fucking stupid speed but at least i can say i am quicker at 0-90 than a 2.0l nova lol i just dont say it over took after 90mph lol!

well i am going to sit back and wait for one of ya to slag me or the car off!

yeah thats me m8 it looks smart from a distance but when u get close its a shed! but even tho its not all to tidy i was offord 950 chash 4 it the other day! im such a dum arse i wouldnt b ere now if i ad taken the mans money! lol never mind!

when i say its got "more timing in it than ive had hot dinners" i mean the timing is verry advanced on the border line of pinking (pre ignition) u should try it verry easy need a 13mm spaner and if u look at the distruibutor u will see there is a clamp just behind the cap, (make sure u mark where the distruibtor is at at the moment) and slacken the bolt of not out just slacken it. ease the distruibtor round and nip the bolt back up. take it down the road and keep adjusting untill u get it just right! i cant rember what way the distruiptor turns to advance it but u will no if it is the wroung way cause it will be retarded and run verry flat (no power). u will realy notice the diffrence and have a much larger top end! BUT THIS WILL DRINK MORE FUEL!

dont no what bhp it is but my mate has a 1.8 focus with 120 bhp and it keeps up with that with out evan trying! will rollin road it after christmas and let u guys no!
