had a well buisy weekend just gone. managed to get my old warn 2.0 out of the car and rebuilt the 2.1. then on the sunday i fitted it again. just got to run it in now but it feels much more responsive now due to the extra mods i have done,

the new engine now is as follows.

rebored block to 2.1
new pistons and rods
extensively lightened flywheel ballenced with crank and clutch cover (thanks to mr jefferys)
ARP big end bolts
raised compression due to skimming loads (40 thou) of the head
ported head and matched to all manifolds
new re shaped valves
AST 15 Kent cam
vernier pully
4 branch manifold
twin 45 dellortos
facet red top fuel pump

all the gaskets and pumps are new too.

Very smart mate! Is the Rev Limiter still the same? Cause I remember at Combe you reved it to 9K or something stupid.... it sounded the Nuts!!! :P

I take it you'll be there again on the 24th April?

lol neil. thats the reason the engine died he he. still got 140 bhp the week before it got taken out of the car tho.

im trying to get the biggest rad i can in the car so it wont gat as hot on the track again. thats the main reason the rings wore out soooo quickly.

i adjusted the timing last night and it seems to pick up much better now. looking forward to getting it on the rollers next thursday. just got to do another 300 miles first tho lol.

im setting the rev limmit at 8 this time. i know it can take it now as ive uprated everything that i caould afford to. id like to get double valve springs tho.

I heard you can fit the corsa turbo diseil rad in there,im thinking of trying this, its also ment to sit more to the front keeping it cooler still.
