I have a 1.2i nova with a more or less standard engine but with a stripped out interior and 15' alloys + no ice. My mate has a ford fiesta 1.25 zetec it is standard except for a massive ice install and he probably weighs twicee as much as me. So once i have passed my test what do you think my chances are of keeping up with him??

whats the point racing an engine that is not fast and will never be. a nova 1.2 is not fast. if you rag your 1.2 around your likely to crash it (especially with those saucer discs, n crappy suspension). you crash it you loose your chances of no claims and you'll never get a fast car. oh and I dont think you'll have a chance against a new 1.25zetec. you might beat a new one but thats cause its new. try racing it once its got about 30,000 on the clock (That around about where my mate said his started to really shift at) I passed my test in a 1.25s quite nippy.
