I got a cordless powerdrill with loads of attachments. perfect for me as im always taking my car to bits. it even come with a couple of 10mm sockets as Im always loosing them and my car is put together with 10mm sockets. lol

ive been at it all day and i finnaly got my new cd rw drive to work!

why cant u just get stuff for pcs and plug em(like the lovley usb sidewinder joypad i bought last month) in instead ov pissing about with taking cases apart and taking out blanking plugs and setting up jumpers and setting up drivers and setting master and slave units and wireing up power supplies and genrally getting nowhere with the suplied documents

least the fucker works now

let me see - i mostly got personal hygene enhancement utilities... you know, electric shaver (triple blade), elec tooth brush, deodorant, show gel, a set of damm nail clippers!!! are they trying to tell me something you reckon?
Also got the obligatory chocolate selection and a couple of tops... decent one from next off mi uncle and a crap one off mi mum.
oh an an ever so useful lock de-icer... that doesn't appear to work unless it de-ices locks by magic without getting warm.

fuck me sounds like i done alreet then... cdrw, cash a coupla weeks ago for jeans, tops etc, cash for cd's and vinyl, 150 beer tokens from numerous peeps, new cdrw aswell, socks ov course, choc, beer, various other shit... and also spoke to me ma and pa and i *think* they will buy me a GTE for me 21st in may, badass... that means I'll only have to pay a grand of me own cash then - fuckin insurance :) worth it tho.. lol

its a athalon 1.2ghz with all the trimmings and it likes to crash every 3 mins when its online and anykind ov video or music plays.

its fine when not online, i can play games etc etc no probs (i recorded a 1 hour 10 mins dj mix yesterday from my decks and it was a 646mb wave file) no probs

it just dont like the net

my p166 was shit slow but never crashed

micky tis probs something lame like modem sharing IRQ with tons of other things... depends on which OS you use to check which components are using wot IRQ... I only use 98se really (cuz I stick with Intel as it works properly so never need to reformat... lol) but tis usually in control panel->system properties and u can view wot shit uses wot IRQ in there on one ov the tabs. If tons use a certain IRQ post 'ere along with ur OS and i'll see if i can find a way to change 'em without reformatting. I'd come on IRC but I am too busy for that with me having bitches always calling for me etc :)

I got some decent pressies this year, DVD's and tools mainly. The worst had to be "Murray Walkers F1 Hereos Book" or something like that, I've not been in to F1 for years. The best pressie is yet to come though :)

Micky, as for your Net problems. I'd recommend upgrading to 2000, and following on from Stokie_Daves suggestion of components using the same IRQ, remove all unneccessary plug and play devices (soundcard if it's pci, etc) and play around with that. You'd be surprised the number of times something hasn't worked only to move it to another slot and everything works fine. Worth a go as it only takes a few mins.

whats decks u got micky? i've got 1210's now, but i used to have a set of 'Gemini BD10's' (?200 for 2 decks and a mixer)...they lasted 3 years with me only having to replace the needles 3 times, no servicing of the decks or anything, they were an excellent buy...

i like me 1210's now as i've taut myself how to scratch and make dani minogue sound like an alien :p

Bastard I want 1200's cuz they're champagne-ish coloured :/ Me jus got Soundlab DLP3R Direct Drive affairs.. only paid 150 inc mixer, leads and brand new Stanton 500AL MK2's.. they're ok but no good for 'long' mixes cuz they dont hold pitch well enuff. O well :)

i do but it's fookin tricky atm cuz of how i got me dex set up! hehe..

ones on me desk, with mixer raised up way too high sitting on me choon system on top of me MD player, then one deck is well low on a leather chair.. fookin orrible m8, makes mixing 10 times harder :) So tryin to help the mix along whilst fading shit in with the mixer is a bastard cuz of the different level everything is sitting on!

Gonna build a totally new hooooooooge bastard desk in me room soon tho so everything will be level making it easy to help the tunes along whilst crossfading and tweakin shit on me mixer.

I neeeeeeeeed some 1200's tho.. wud help lots :)

ive got genimi xk500II`s in silver

and there actualy really good, i think it was about ?400 for the 2 decks.
everybody lusts after technics purely for the name, How many big name dj`s would u see using technics in there own home? (not a lot)

they are used in clubs and thats about it

vestax do sum belting decks and the top end gemini ones are also shit hot (aperntly next years models have striaght, battle style, arms)

if i was gonna upgrade i would get

1.technics of sumbody offerd me sum cheap second hand
2.the new gemini top of the range ones

ive got a few mates that do the ol wheel ov steel spinning for a living, and they agree, technics has a good name but the decks are just average.

Well me heard they are fookin well good for holdin the pitch and thats all me is bothered about :) I only got +/- 8% on mine and I love it, tis a lot easier to be precise instead ov 10-12% pitch rollox in the same slidey space if u know wot i mean. lol :) Vestax with 50% pitch control? lol turn R&B into techno gabba jungle or something.. heh!

I am workin on me 1st mix cd but i am pissed off with me dex changin speeds... altho i took 'em a house party last nite for NYE and did sum mixin before i fell over and they woz behaving well good, but i woz usin me m8s slipmatts as they is mo slippy.. wonder if that helps lots on shit dex?!
